Historic Center
1987 an entire part of Lübeck was declared World Heritage Site by the UNESCO. That was a novelty in the history of northern Europe. The old city enchants its residents and their visitors with its charming medieval atmosphere. The Skyline with seven monumental church towers are also very fascinating.

Buddenbrookhouse
The Buddenbrook-Haus Museum has two permanent exhibitions: "The Manns - a family of writers" and "Buddenbrooks - a century novel."

In addition there are also changing exhibitions on a different floor. The history of the historic building goes way back to the 13th Century, in which the first entry was recorded. Besides the Manns it was also home to a state lottery and the famous Buddenbrook bookstore.

The exhibition attempts to capture the artist in its diversity, by displaying more than 1100 different drawings, etchings, lithographs and watercolors are. Other highlights are the lovely sculpture yard and the museum garden.
